About This Event

Document the Abuse (DTA) is an Illinois nonprofit that supports survivors of domestic violence through the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (EAA), a tool that helps survivors document abuse. DTA has been invited to the National Domestic Violence Rally in Washington, DC, October 2-4, 2026 and is raising $2,500 to cover airfare, four nights of lodging, meals, and a $500 table at the gala.

The event begins with a Walk-a-Thon to the Capitol on Friday, October 2 and culminates with a Masked Gala on Sunday, October 4. Everyone is invited to be a voice for the voiceless and walk in solidarity. All victims, nonprofits, and families are invited to walk.

Individuals, businesses, and organizations can donate or sponsor this trip and become a part of a national rally call for victims of abuse.

The invitation came at the last minute, and we are honored to accept. This is a chance to stand alongside advocates, survivors, and leaders from across the country and to show how the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (EAA) helps survivors build a clear, credible record of the abuse they have lived through.
