Big News: Document The Abuse is Now a Registered Nonprofit!
We have something to celebrate—and we want you to celebrate with us!
Document The Abuse is now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization!
What does this milestone mean to us after many years of “pulling it all together?” It means more resources, more training, and more hope for the people who need it most. It means you now have a powerful way to join us in this mission, with every donation making a real and lasting impact.
What This Means for Victims and Survivors
At the heart of Document The Abuse is one simple goal: to help victims feel seen, heard, and protected. With tools like the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (EAA), survivors have a safe and secure way to document their experiences, protect their evidence, and stand a stronger chance at justice.
Now that we’re officially a nonprofit, we can:
Offer more free resources for victims.
Train law enforcement, first responders, legal and medical professionals, victim service providers and advocates to respond better.
Grow awareness in all sectors to expand support.
Partner with more organizations so fewer victims fall through the cracks.
In short, this milestone helps us help more people and that’s something worth cheering about!
How You Can Be Part of the Change
Here’s the best part! Now that we’re a nonprofit, every dollar you give is tax-deductible and every dollar counts. For example:
$25 = training materials for a first responder
$50 = outreach to vulnerable communities
$100 = a resource a survivor can use to leave an abusive relationship safely
Your donation isn’t just money, it’s hope, protection, and empowerment for someone who desperately needs it.
Let’s Build This Future Together
We wouldn’t be here without the incredible support of so many along the way.
To the survivors who trusted us with their stories, the advocates and professionals who stood beside us, and the organizations that believed in our mission, THANK YOU! Your encouragement, partnership, and generosity have fueled our growth when we wanted to give up, and made this milestone possible. This achievement belongs to all of us, and together, we’re building a stronger future for victims and survivors everywhere.
We’re thrilled about this new chapter, but we can’t do it without you. Abuse doesn’t wait, and neither can we. With your help, we can create safer communities and brighter futures.
Donate today and celebrate with us because together, we can make sure every victim’s story is heard and every survivor has the chance to rebuild.
